Uncle Mark’s is an on-farm humane harvest business. We come to you where the animals are in their natural environment and at their most relaxed. We harvest them on-site, and deliver to your choice of cut/wrap facility in our refrigerated truck. We have several meat shops between McBride, Prince George, and Vanderhoof we work with on a regular basis, but we will deliver anywhere you want outside of those shops, including leaving the carcasses with you on your own farm for you to process yourself. I usually handle the bookings with the cut/wrap facilities to make the scheduling as simple as possible, but please reach out to the processors yourself with any questions about their services.

    We also service Farm Gate Plus licensees! I am SlaughterSafe Certified, and I am happy to help point you in the right direction if you are interested in a license. We are still working on the Inspected Farm Harvest project, hoping to make the whole system better and more streamlined. In the mean time, Farm Gate Plus licenses are very handy! We have a mobile skinning floor we take with us from farm to farm, as well as our own power, hoists, and potable water. This can fill in a lot of gaps in your food safety plan. We still need a tractor to bring large animals from the corral to the skinning floor.

   NEW! We are now operating in Prince George and area!! This is a new expansion, so bear with me as we figure this out. If you live in the PG area and are interested in on-farm harvest services, please get in touch so we can discuss logistics. What seems the most reasonable at this time is; Same prices as the Robson Valley for everything, except the travel fee of $1.25/km (2 way travel) will be measured from the Mr. PG statue across from Treasure Cove Casino in Prince George, rather than from Uncle Mark’s in McBride. Delivery to Prince George cut/wrap shops such as Hunniford and Chilako will be at no extra charge, though you will be responsible to pick up the meat yourself once it is cut and wrapped. Delivery to Cattlemen’s Cut in Vanderhoof or to Holdfast Ranch in McBride will be at the same out-of-town delivery charge and include delivery to the parking lot of the casino.
